Heliport Frisius MC is een belangrijke voorziening voor de acute patiëntenzorg in de regio. Bijzonder aan onze regio is de zorg voor patiënten van de Waddeneilanden. Door de geografische ligging van de Waddeneilanden is een helikopter de enige manier om patiënten snel naar een ziekenhuis te kunnen brengen.
